The sun has been shining in Holland since a few weeks now. I’ve been feeling so much more energetic ever since. My creative mind goes spinning on all day with things I would like to do and can now do in the garden.

I’ve prepared the garden and even have started with the first vegetables, sowing them indoors. For this I re-use materials like egg holders, or pots of plants purchased in the past. I cover the seeds with plastic to keep them warm and put them in sight of the sun.

They are growing so fast! Just in some days you already see the green sprouts. When they are a bit taller I put them in small pots so they can grow faster. When they are tall and strong enough I plant them in the grounds. Last year I skipped this, I was to eager to put them into the ground. The snails ate a lot of the vegetables over night, so this year I will only put plants in the ground when they are strong enough.

Here are some pictures on this years progress of the vegetable garden. I am so excited to see the vegetables growing and to prepare the beautiful meals of our own home grown vegetables.
