Palais Royal was the personal residence of Cardinal Richelieu. Some of you might know him from “The four Musketeers”. After his death, the building became the property of the King, father of the famous Louis XIV (who build the magnificent Palace of Versailles).
Today Palais Royal is being restored by the current owner. His plans is to make it beautiful again as it used to be. His goal is to make this a new shopping area, where people can shop, enjoy the beautiful architecture and the garden in the centre. Today the building is already home for many creative minds who have their shops located in the beautiful building. Besides new fashion, you can also find shops with beautiful precious vintage clothes and jewelry.
The building and beautiful area is location for some famous other movies such as “The Da Vinci Code” and “The Tourist”.
The combination of magnificent architecture, beautiful fashion and a garden where you enjoy the silence for a moment, gives this place the perfect concept to attract a wide audience. Palais Royal is definitely a place that I would visit next time I’m in Paris
