Choosing Time Over Things

Time is our most valuable asset, which is why we decided to change direction.

We sold our house to create a lifestyle that allows for a steady income and more freedom to travel. Exploring new places and connecting with people through their unique stories inspires us and gives us a sense of purpose. By embracing the ‘less is more’ philosophy, we’ve cut back on consumption, removed unnecessary expenses, and focused on self-sufficiency—like growing our own food as much as possible or make or do as much as possible by ourself. We are still in the middle of this transition, but we truly enjoy exploring this new way of living.

We still enjoy the occasional shopping trip or dinner out, but we do so much more mindfully than before. For us, good food remains a priority, but we now prefer the warmth of cooking at home and inviting friends and family to share a meal. We’ve learned that time spent with loved ones is far more valuable than any physical product.

We’ve noticed around us that other people’ve become increasingly aware of the modern cycle of overconsumption—a lifestyle where many trade their precious time for more products and processed foods. Of course, everyone’s path to happiness is unique, and it’s important to respect the choices others are making. We work for what we want, but we only work to get what truly matters, focusing on your “real” goals without the noise and distractions of the endless pursuit of “more”.
