Chasing Sunshine: A Short Escape to St. Barths

Some trips come together almost by accident, and those are often the best ones. My brother-in-law is currently working in IT on St. Barths, and that’s all the excuse I needed to finally visit the island.

The timing couldn’t be better. The project I’ve been working on is coming to an end soon, and I’m ready for a quick change of scenery. Nothing recharges me like travel, so a short getaway to soak up new energy before the next chapter feels just right.

St. Barths has a reputation for effortless chic: turquoise water, white-sand beaches, charming harbors, and a food scene that punches far above its size. I can’t wait to see how much of that is true (I suspect all of it).

Since it’s a short stay, I want to make every moment count. Seeing family in a place this beautiful already feels like a gift, and I’m excited to have a local guide on hand.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be digging into what makes this little island so special: the beaches worth the trip, the restaurants worth booking ahead, the hidden corners, and the experiences you can only have here. I’ll share everything I find right here on Chicenzo.com.

And this is where you come in. Have you been to St. Barths? Do you know a beach, a lunch spot, a viewpoint, or a local secret I shouldn’t miss? With only a short time on the island, your tips would be gold. Drop them in the comments or send me a message.

Stay tuned. The adventure starts soon. ☀️🌴
